La commessa per la realizzazione di un manipolatore industriale a ventose

We have recently completed a custom project for Smartlab srl, a company specializing in the production of industrial manipulators. Our task was to design and build a suction cup tool for lifting and moving cardboard boxes containing household appliances at the end of the assembly line. This device allows the boxes to be efficiently stacked onto pallets, minimizing the operator’s physical effort.

The tool was carefully designed to ensure maximum ergonomics and functionality, enabling a smooth, safe, and quick lifting and stacking process.

PROJECT DETAILS

Committente: Smartlab Srl
Materiali: Lamiera di acciaio, profili Bosch
Esecuzione: Progettazione CAD, taglio laser
Dimensioni: 70 x 60 x 40 cm (l x p x h)

The importance of digital design

Thanks to CAD design, we were able to accurately simulate the space requirements and functionality of each component, preventing potential errors and optimizing the entire production process. Some parts of the device were custom-made from steel sheets using laser cutting, while other components were selected from commercially available options.

Optimizing the pneumatic system

The project also involved designing the box containing part of the pneumatic system. Through CAD simulation, we precisely defined the optimal placement of regulators and valves, simplifying assembly and ensuring everything fit perfectly inside the plastic housing. Once the materials arrived, the assembly was completed without any need for adjustments, demonstrating the effectiveness of the design phase.

Thanks to this collaboration with Smartlab srl, we have created a high-performance suction cup system, designed to improve efficiency and safety in the box handling process.
